Hello November!
Wow, that came around so fast!
The Freidette’s have been a little sad that Halloween is over, but we’ve got colour in our cheeks again, and a spring in our step as Christmas is around the corner. It’s safe to say, we're super excited!
We’ve had a great October and have got plenty of exciting things coming up this month and for the festive period ahead. The Freida Mo’s elves have been busy preparing our Christmas gift shop, transforming the store into a wonderful winter wonderland (YAY!), and have curated some cosy Christmassy workshop sessions for those of you who like to get crafty.
Here’s what we have been up to in our little haven on the Lane….
Halloween Highlights!
We had a freakishly fabulous time at our Halloween Market last month which was our fourth one running and was our busiest event yet. We welcomed five independent sellers who exhibited eerie-visible handcrafted goodies for the day in-store. Thanks to Pretty Flamingo, Girl on Purl Action, Moon Luxe Candles, Another Realm, and Katie Whittle Illustrates, we had the most spooktacular day in-store.
We also beat the curse that Frankenstein cast upon our Instagram, sadly draining our colourful aesthetic, but thanks to Sally, she lifted the spell with the power of the Thriller dance! We’ve now got colour in our cheeks and hearts once more, just in time for vibrant festive times (phew!)
We love bustling days like this in FM, and it has got us very excited for the busy festive period in store.
Freida Mo’s Festive Shop!
Ho ho ho!
We’ve been busy decorating the shop and transforming from spooky to festive mode and its safe to say we had a (jingle) ball in store! The festive Freidettes had a wonderful day in store putting our TWO trees up (yes, two!), blasting Chrimbo tunes in store (sure our neighbours on the Lane loved this!), wearing festive jumpers, and baking festive goodies. We don’t wanna be that gal, however…. Christmas is now less than 50 days away, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with an array of fabulously festive gift ideas such as pamper boxes, chocolate trays, cards, candles, and gorgeous festive dress-up items from the Pretty Flamingo collection.

Christmas Crochet Workshop - Sunday 27th November
Cosy Sunday evening crafting anyone?
Last weekend, we ran our Christmas Crochet workshop hosted by the fabulous Girl on Purl Action, which sold out in record time and was a huge success! If you missed out, do not worry as we will be running a Christmas themed session on Sunday 27th November!
Christmas is the most perfect season for gifting handmade items or to craft your own creative decorations! In this session, we will be making a granny square sweet holder & candy cane for your Christmas tree, or alternatively, you can make the candy cane as a key chain.
This workshop will teach you…
An introduction to crochet, a range of stitches, working in the round, shape work and colour changing.
Worried you won’t have time to finish both items? Don’t worry, you can take everything home with you in a perfect little kit to help you continue with your crochet adventure! You will get a crochet hook & yarn needle as well as a hot drink & a piece of delicious Freida Mo’s cake and coffee!

Colour Friday - Friday 26th November
We’re here to embrace Colour Friday, an exciting alternative to Black Friday created by the amazing Holly and Co. Holly and Co. is a fantastic organisation that reminds us to celebrate the colour, uniqueness and creativity that small businesses bring to the UK.
Black Friday is the biggest day in the retail year, however Colour Friday reinvents this date with a little more colour and cheer. Rather than taking part in the mass consumption of Black Friday, they are encouraging the nation to celebrate what small businesses bring instead (and it's safe to say, Freida Mo’s fit that criteria as we are abundant in colour!).
We will be having a super colourful day in store, so please pop in to spread the cheer and to support your favourite fierce independent on the Lane! ❤️
