Happy Blogtober!

What’s happenin’ at Freida Mo’s this October?

Happy October (or shall we way Blogtober!)

It’s been a little while since we have written in this little corner of our site, and with the help of our newest Freidette, Ashley (our BDM), expect to see regular updates and musings about what the Freida Mo’s family have been up to in our colourful little haven on Lark Lane.

Fall is finally here and it’s the Freidette's favourite month as we love to get cosy, create delicious spiced Autumnal bakes and of course, it’s Halloween soon (YAY!). We’ve been super busy in store (thanks Pumpkin Spiced Lattes for fuelling us!), preparing our new Pretty Flamingo fall range, welcoming our newest Frediette’s Ashley and Jamie (our first boy!), putting together our Halloween dress-up shop and have been curating exciting workshops for those of you who love to get crafty.

Here’s a wrap-up of what’s going on at Freida Mo’s this October…

Dress up for Halloween on a budget (for as little as £10!)

Halloween is one of the most fun-filled holidays on the calendar, however, the spookiest part is the amount of waste that ends up in landfill, with polluting plastics and synthetic materials harming the environment. Instead of buying a plastic costume that will inevitably end up in the bin, why not get imaginative and browse our sustainable Halloween line filled with Vintage attire, for a truly unique and earth-friendly costume?

The Freidettes have had a terrifyingly great time playing dress-up as a spooky bride, a petrifying palm reader, Cruella de Vil, Vampire and we even had our very own human disco ball! We’ve plenty more spooktacular ideas in store, and have a special offer on Halloween dress-up ideas, with items as little as £10.

Freida Mo’s Halloween Market (22nd October)

We’ve got pumpkin for you to talk about! After four years of success, we can’t wait to welcome you back to our Freida Mo’s Halloween Market on Saturday 22nd October! This spellbinding event will be a bustling day in store, where we’ll host space for five independent sellers for the day. The market will feature a fine array of eerie-sistible goods from local crafters, artists and makers who have been busy preparing their handmade merchandise for you. Girl on Purl Action, Pretty Flamingo Vintage, Katie Whittle, Another Realm and Moon Luxe Candles will be there to say Hallow (see what we did there!) along with the Freidettes in PINK fancy dress to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness (feel free to dress up too!), a chilling playlist and spooky bakes for the day.

Saturday 22nd October, 11 - 5 pm.

This creative two-hour session will teach you the art of this timeless craft, how to create basic knots and techniques that form the foundation of macrame. Using 100% sustainable threads, you will put your newfound skills to great use by creating a beautiful plant hanger of your very own.

Admire those delicate embroidery hoops but think you could never achieve it?

Allow us to introduce you to Niamh, the creative superstar behind Titchy Stitch! A local Liverpool-based creative with a passion for embroidering leaves & quotes from literature, Niamh has been stitching since she was barely old enough to pick up a needle.

This workshop is ideal for beginners or anyone who is looking to take their embroidery skills to the next level. In the session, you will discover how to use an embroidery hoop, transfer designs, a variety of different stitches and how to neatly finish a project to give it that professional finish - (ideal for gifting). Niamh has designed a brand new exclusive pattern for this event!

2-hour tuition with Titchy Stich, embroidery hoop, stitching equipment, threads and Freida Mo's cake with tea.
